The wait is officially over. Training camp is behind us, the preseason is over, and the roster deadline day has come and gone. All 32 teams will be in action this week, starting Wednesday, when the Patriots and Seahawks kick things off with a Super Bowl rematch.

For the Philadelphia Eagles, Week 1 features the Washington Commanders on Sunday afternoon, and it serves as a fresh start for the Birds. The A.J. Brown drama is in the rearview, Jalen Hurts is poised to rebound after a noisy offseason, and DeVonta Smith is looking to embrace the WR No.1 role. But how does the team actually project? Week 8: at Washington (SNF) — W 30-16
Daniels is good. The Eagles are better. Greenard and Hunt combine for 3 sacks. Smith has 8 for 112. Sweep of the Commanders. 6-2.

Week 9: vs. N.Y. Giants — W 27-13
Business trip. Will Shipley scores on a screen. The Giants never threaten. 7-2. Then the bye.

Lemon’s usage jumps in practice. The staff commits to more 11 personnel and more under-center play-action. Greenard is fully healthy. The feeling around the NovaCare Complex is that the offense is about to catch the defense.

Week 11: vs. Pittsburgh — W 21-18
A grind. Aaron Rodgers-era Steelers football, just with a different quarterback. Carter collapses the pocket on 3rd-and-8 in the fourth. Elliott from 39 wins it. 8-2.

Week 12: at Dallas (Thanksgiving) — L 27-23
The split. Dallas gets revenge on national TV. A late Hurts interception in the red zone. The Cowboys take the season series 1-1 and stay alive in the East. 8-3.

Act III — Closing it out (Weeks 13-18)

Week 13: at Arizona — W 24-10
Rest-and-recover win. Barkley sits the fourth quarter. Bigsby and Shipley handle it.

Week 14: vs. Indianapolis — W 31-17
