There are three former Tennessee Vols players that are expected to selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, though a couple of other UT players could get picked in the later rounds.

Running back Jaylen Wright, quarterback Joe Milton, and cornerback Kamal Hadden are the former Vols that are considered "locks" to be selected.

One of the former Vols that could sneak into the later rounds of the draft is tight end McCallan Castles, who is starting to pop up in some mock drafts after his excellent pro day at Tennessee last week.

Pro Football Network's latest mock draft has the Jacksonville Jaguars selecting Castles in the seventh round (No. 221 overall) in next month's draft.

Castles, who transferred from UC-Davis to Tennessee ahead of the 2023 season, didn't put up huge numbers during his one season with the Vols — 22 receptions for 283 yards and five touchdowns — but he showed that he can hold his own against the best competition in college football.

Castles' strong film from last season combined with his great pro day — he would've had the highest vertical leap of any tight end at the combine and he would've been tied for the longest broad jump — has the California native in a good spot ahead of the draft.

Even if Castles doesn't end up getting selected in the later rounds of the draft, he will almost certainly receive an opportunity as an undrafted free agent — which in some instances, can be a better outcome than getting selected in the seventh round (due to a player having more control on which situation they land in).
