The Philadelphia Eagles have locked in their promising young wide receiver, DeVonta Smith.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are signing Smith to a three-year, $75 million contract extension which includes $51 million guaranteed.
Smith will now make $25 million per year, which is the same amount that Eagles' No. 1 wideout A.J. Brown currently makes.
The move comes by no surprise as the Eagles and Smith have been in contract talks over the last few weeks.
Smith, who was originally the Eagles' No. 10 overall pick in 2021, has hauled in 240 catches for 3,178 yards and 19 touchdowns as a reliable No. 2 option for the Birds so far.
The extension, which also includes his fifth-year option, keeps him in Philly until 2028.
He joins three other Eagles players who have also signed a multi-year contract extension this offseason.
