Controversial Fox Sports talk show host Skip Bayless congratulated the Tennessee Vols on Monday night for winning the College World Series in the most backhanded way possible.
Bayless, who is from Oklahoma, went to college at Vanderbilt. And he managed to bring up the Commodores while sending a congrats tweet to the Vols.
"Congrats to our arch rival, Tennessee, for winning baseball's national championship," tweeted Bayless. "Then again, my Vanderbilt Commodores did make the postseason for the 18th straight [year] — longest active streak in D1. And we did beat the Vols twice, 4-0 and 13-4, the latter in the SEC tourney."
Leave it to Bayless to somehow make Tennessee's national championship run about himself and his alma mater.
But then again, I doubt anyone is surprised. Bayless is all about making it about himself. Of course, no one actually takes Bayless serious, so ultimately, it's just something that Vols fans can sit back and laugh about as they celebrate a national championship.
