One of the most highly coveted recruits in the country may be accelerating his recruitment decision. Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng has been a key target for over 40 FBS college football programs for multiple years now, but according to his latest comments this weekend he may be very near a decision.

Owusu-Boateng is a Top 75 recruit in the nation, a linebacker from the illustrious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He's an incredible athlete with nearly unmatched movement skills at off-ball linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class. And according to Kyle Kelly of On3 Sports, he's apparently considering moving up his commitment timeline after his visit with Notre Dame this past weekend.

It's not surprising that his visit to Notre Dame went well. His brother Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (2nd round pick by the Cleveland Browns) also played for the Fighting Irish and was present with Nathaniel on his visit. When you mix the family ties, head coach Marcus Freeman's excellent recruiting ability, and Notre Dame's track record of sending linebackers to the pros the Fighting Irish had a rather easy pitch to make. And now, if it is true that he's moving his commitment timeline up, he may be just hours or days away from committing to Notre Dame.

However, Owusu-Koramoah has had an incredible string of visits this spring already with plans to see a handful of blue bloods remaining. He recently had solid visits with Florida, USC, Stanford, and more. Plus, he's still technically slated (for now) to visit with Ohio State, Michigan, and Georgia. It feels rather unlikely that Owusu-Koramoah would just skip out on visits to three of the best programs in the country before committing.

While Notre Dame certainly seems like they're in the lead for now, Michigan's recent surge with him after his April visit, and rekindled interest with Ohio State as well could be enough to pull him in another direction. We'll be monitoring this situation closely as more details emerge on this elite speedster at the linebacker position.
