Derek Carr finds consistency under OC Klint Kubiak
Carr had a rollercoaster of a 2023. Now, he's got an upgrade at offensive coordinator.
Yes, I'm comfortable saying that before Kubiak calls a single play during the regular season for New Orleans. Pete Carmichael Jr. was one of, if not, the worst play-callers in football over the past two seasons.
If Carr takes strides forward for the Saints, there is a good chance that they will be in the playoff hunt and contending for the NFC South crown. With how the roster is assembled, you should take that if you are a fan of the black and gold.
Saints win a playoff game
Returning to the postseason is a must for the Saints in 2024.
Last season had some highs, especially late in the year, but those heroics cannot overshadow the disappointing performances that have stacked up for Dennis Allen's team in recent years.
They are better than the product they put out in some weeks, and that falls on coaching at some points. This year, they have more depth than last season on the defensive line, and the assistants around the staff are expecting more out of the players. So far, that's been a positive for the veterans around the team.
In order for Dennis Allen to keep his job, I believe they need to return to the playoffs.
Winning at least one playoff game would be a solid year as far as expectations go for New Orleans. Anything past that would be a cherry on top for the Saints and their fans.
