The Kansas City Chiefs selected Tennessee Vols cornerback Kamal Hadden in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
On Saturday evening, just hours after making the pick, Kansas City's social media team posted a video of Chiefs general manager Brett Veach and head coach Andy Reid calling Hadden to let him know he was getting drafted.
It's a must-watch moment for Vols and Chiefs fans.
"I'm doing good Coach Reid," says Hadden in the video. "Man, I just want to thank you and I want to let you know that you didn't make a mistake. And I'm going to make the most of my opportunities, Coach. I appreciate you and I thank you for this opportunity."
It's beyond evident that getting a chance in the NFL means a lot to Hadden. And he's not taking the opportunity lightly.
Hadden went through some tough times early during his tenure at Tennessee. But by the time he left Rocky Top, he was receiving ovations from Vols fans. It's certainly great to see him getting an opportunity to excel at the next level.
