On Monday, Isaiah Rodgers Sr. wanted to send a loud message on social media.
The Philadelphia Eagles cornerback was reinstated after being suspended for the 2023 season for violating the NFL's gambling policy, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
"He may participate in all team activities, effective immediately," Schefter wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
And to celebrate the news, Rodgers posted a video on X, showing him walking up to the door with an Eagles jacket, whispering "I'm back."
Simple but perfect.
Rodgers was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2020 NFL Draft as a sixth-round pick out of UMass. However, prior to the 2023 season he was suspended after violating the NFL's sports gambling policy.
The Colts ultimately released Rodgers, but the Eagles swopped in and picked him up. So now he will finally be able to take part in the offseason program and even potentially play a game with Philadelphia.
Along with being a solid cornerback, Rodgers also contributes on speical teams. With the Colts, he saw action in 45 games with 10 starts where he logged 88 tackles, 10 passes defensed and three interceptions across three seasons.
