The Indianapolis Colts have made three draft selections through the first two days of the NFL Draft.
- Round 1: Laiatu Latu, Edge, UCLA
- Round 2: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas
- Round 3: Matt Goncalves, OT/G, Pittsburgh
And now we head into day three of the NFL draft, where the Colts currently own five picks in the final four rounds.
Below are the top players remaining in the 2024 NFL Draft at positions of need for the Colts, such as CB and S. Along with some other players at some out of the box positions.
Best players available for the Colts on Day 3:
CB:
Most people are probably shocked to learn that the Colts did not use any of their picks during the first two days of the 2024 NFL Draft. They now have four more rounds and five more selections to add a CB to one of the younger CB rooms in the NFL. Luckily for them, there are multiple players that many believed would hear their names called on day two still on the board.
1. Khree Jackson, Oregon
2. Kris Abrams-Draine, Missouri
3. Cam Haret, Notre Dame
4. T.J. Tampa, Iowa State
5. D.J James, Auburn
S:
The Colts re-signed Julian Blackmon to man their starting SS position next year. But the team's starting FS spot is still very much up in the air. The starting role opposite of Blackmon at FS is still a clear position of need. Both Nick Cross and Rodney Thomas are risky choices to start at the position next season. So, I think it would be wise for the Colts to add a safety before Day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft concludes.
1. Jaden Hicks, Washington State
2. KItna Oladapi, Oregon State
3. Beau Brade, Maryland
4. Dardrion Tyaor-Demerson, Texas Tech
5. Malik Mustapha, Wake Forest
Entering day three CB and S remain the biggest holes on the Colts roster left after the first two there are still some other positions that I think they could target. Some that come to mind are: coverag LBs, pass catching RB and centers.
1. Jeremiah Trotter Jr, LB, Clemson
2. Jordan Magee, LB, Temple
3. JD Bertrand, LB, Notre Dame
4. Dylan Laube, RB, New Hampshire
5. Will Shipley , RB, Clemson
6. Bucky Irving, RB, Oregon
7. Tanor Bortolini, C, Wisconsin
8. Serick Van Pran, C, Georiga
9. Hunter Nourzad, C, Penn State
