After trading down twice on Night One of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills kicked off the NFL Draft by getting Josh Allen a playmaker at receiver.
The Bills selected Florida State wideout Keon Coleman with the 33rd overall pick in the draft.
Coleman is coming off a year in which he caught 50 passes for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns with the Seminoles.
Coleman was terrific after the catch, as Florida State made it a priority to get him the ball quick and make defenders miss. He was also one of the best deep ball receivers in the country, hauling in 10 contested catches, per PFF.
The Bills were in severe need of a perimeter playmaker after trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. Although they still have Khalil Shakir and signed Curtis Samuel, they needed a guy who could be a consistent threat on the outside while Shakir and Samuel cooked from the slot.
Overall, this is a great pick for the Bills, and one that will make Josh Allen a very happy man.
