The Tennessee Vols will look much different in 2024-25 than they did in 2023-24.
Tennessee is losing key players in Dalton Knecht, Santiago Vescovi, Josiah-Jordan James, Tobe Awaka (transfer), and Jonas Aidoo (transfer).
The Vols, however, have already replaced several of those players via the transfer portal, adding Ohio State transfer center Felix Okpara, Hofstra forward Darlinstone Dubar, and Charlotte transfer forward Igor Milicic.
Tennessee is also in the mix for North Florida transfer guard Chaz Lanier.
While the Vols will be without many of the players that made their Elite Eight run possible this past season, the addition of players like Dubar and Milicic, along with the return of point guard Zakai Zeigler, should once again have Tennessee among the top teams in the nation.
For now, ESPN bracketology Joe Lunardi has Tennessee as a No. 4 seed in the midwest region, taking on Vermont.
It's obviously a bit early to make any sort of realistic prediction for who will be seeded where in the NCAA Tournament next spring, but Lunardi's early prediction at least shows how the Vols are currently viewed by the national media.
