While the Pittsburgh Steelers have been plenty active to start free agency, it’s mostly been external additions.

Having yet to re-sign anyone as of publishing, yet another departure joins Mason Rudolph as former Steelers:

Watts Joins Pats

Watts was a sixth round pick by the Minnesota Vikings out of Arkansas in the 2018 draft. Watts joined the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2023 after a brief stint in Chicago following the expiration of his rookie deal in Minnesota.

Serving as a rotational defensive lineman, Watts played in 15 games, recording 15 tackles, three QB hits and 0.5 sacks last season.

A functional piece that worked well in the Steelers 3-4 scheme, Watts will be an excellent depth piece to a New England defense looking for rotational players along the front line.
