The Las Vegas Raiders just made one of the smartest, sneaky moves they have made all offseason, and that's coming in an offseason that saw them hire Antonio Pierce and Tom Telesco and sign Christian Wilkins.

This move they made on Saturday is sure to keep what the Raiders had in tact, and build onto that. Last season the Raiders had a top-five defense. With the signings they have made, there is potential at top-two.

On Saturday, the Las Vegas Raiders signed defensive tackle Adam Butler to a one-year deal. Butler had five sacks last season and was one of the only bright spots at the defensive tackle position. They got him for super cheap last season, and it paid off.

This year, they will have Christian Wilkins, and that's great. However, had they not signed Butler back, it was going to be scary in terms of the defensive line having bad moments in 2024.

The depth at defensive tackle would have been very shaky. The defensive line can have a bit more depth now, and the defense can build on where they left off last season without having a huge hole on the defensive line.
