Many of the top prospects in April’s draft are in Indianapolis, Indiana at the combine, but won’t be full participants.

LSU’s Jayden Daniels is one of those prospects and he has pretty good reasoning as to why he will not be going through all of the testing and on-field work at the combine.

Daniels is going to wait until the LSU Pro Day to throw and go through testing so that all of the interest that is there for him will be around his teammates as well.

“They work so hard to get their opportunity in front of everybody to go out there and showcase what they can do. So, it wasn’t about me it was about my teammates,” Daniels explained.

Daniels takes a selfless act because he already knows he’s going to be a top-10 pick likely and one of the first three quarterbacks off of the board. That was not changing whether or not he was a full participant at the NFL Combine.

Now, Daniels will get more eyes on his teammates at the NFL Pro Day. Below is a look at other Tigers that could soon be drafted.

WR Malik Nabers

WR Brian Thomas Jr.

DT Masson Smith

DT Mekhi Wingo

DT Jordan Jefferson

LB Omar Speights

S Andre Sam

C Charles Turner III

Nabers and Thomas are going to end up being first-round picks just like Daniels. The decision made by Daniels helps the other teammates who are further down the draft boards. All it takes is for one team to fall in love with a player and that may be the chance that need.

LSU’s season has been over for quite some time now but Daniels still looks to be setting his teammates up for success. For a guy who was called a bad teammate earlier in his college career, this is a good look. A guy doesn’t care about this if he doesn’t care about his school or teammates, simple.
