Perhaps the biggest thing to happen at the NFL Combine could have a negative impact on the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns had met with Texas WR Xavier Worthy but that was before he went on to break an NFL Combine record. Worthy ran a blazing fast 40-yard dash time of 4.21 seconds, which broke the record of 4.22 seconds run by John Ross.

Worthy was already viewers by most as a top 40 pick, at least that is the feeling. After showing some record-breaking speed, it would be no surprise if Worthy is a first-round lock now. Cleveland will not be picking until selection No. 54, so a trade-up would have to be made to take the Texas wide receiver.

Weighing in at 165 pounds is a bit concerning and that is what Worthy did at the combine. He was listed as being 172 pounds in college and that’s likely where he will hover around during his rookie season.

The Browns could have really used a talent like Worthy that can turn any play into an electric one. If they want to do that, Andrew Berry would have to be working the phones.

Luckily for Cleveland, it is a deep draft at the wide receiver position. There will be very talented players selected after the first round at the position.
