After the Carolina Panthers flirted with outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney during the 2023 offseason, Panthers general manager Dan Morgan wants to run it back in 2024.
Clowney is set to visit with the Panthers this week, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday.
Clowney is a Rock Hill, South Carolina, native. He was linked to the Panthers several times throughout the 2023 offseason but signed with the Baltimore Ravens, who came up short in the NFL playoffs – again.
According to reports, Clowney has interest from multiple teams, including a return to the Ravens. However, the three-time Pro Bowler is putting a possible homecoming as a top priority this offseason.
The Panthers are bringing Clowney in for a visit because they are looking for two pass rushers after trading Brian Burns to the New York Giants, Joseph Person of The Athletic reported Wednesday.
Clowney, 31, is a decade veteran in the NFL. He has played for the Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns.
In 2023, Clowney recorded 43 tackles and 9.5 sacks.
