Welcome to the Buffalo Bills mailbag, where all of your questions get answered as we continue the buildup to the NFL Draft.

Without further adieu, let's dig into the envelopes.

Q: What wide receiver could fall to the Bills in the first or second round that could be an eventual replacement for Stefon Diggs?- Circling The Wagons Podcast (X)

I think if Buffalo ends up taking a Brian Thomas or Troy Franklin in the first round, there is true No. 1 potential in them. Roman Wilson is a guy that could be a second round pick that could be a steal, as well as Keon Coleman. It's a deep receiver class and I won't be shocked if the Bills double dip.

Q: If the Bills don't take a wide receiver in the first round, what position will they take?- Peter DiBiasi (X)

I still think edge rusher will be the way they go to get a long-term solution opposite of A.J. Epenesa if the pick isn't a receiver. If Chop Robinson is there at 28, I could see him being the pick.

Q: What is your ideal mock for the Bills?- Robin Lalisse (X)

  • Round 1, Pick 28: Wide Receiver
  • Round 2, Pick 60: Edge
  • Round 4, Pick 128: Cornerback
  • Round 4, Pick 134: Safety

What they do with all of those day three picks is a complete guess, but in the opening four rounds, that's what I'd like to see in the first four rounds.

Q: What are your thoughts on the signings of Curtis Samuel and Mike Edwards?- Peter DiBiasi (X)

I'll be doing a piece grading the Bills' moves thus far, but to give you a sneak peak, I like both signings. Especially for how little they are paying Edwards.

Q: Will the Bills be making 11 draft selections?- Ed Helinski (X)

I would be very surprised if they do. I fully expect them to either trade up into the third round, or once we get into the fifth round, maybe package a couple of those day three picks for either a player or a fourth-round pick in 2025.

Q: Who are the top three players the Bills could take at receiver, defensive end, and defensive tackle?- CalebNetcast (X)

My three overall favorite players for the Bills at those positions are Brian Thomas (unless they trade up for Rome Odunze), Chop Robinson, and T'Vondre Sweat.

Q: I see a lot of Bills content creators saying that wide receiver may be off the board for round one after the Curtis Samuel signing. What do you think?- J_Gliss (X)

I don't think so. Samuel is a slot guy, and I think the Bills will utilize him very similar to how the 49ers use Deebo Samuel. He'll line up in the backfield, the slot, occasionally out wide, but he isn't the Y receiver in the offense. The Bills still have to get that No. 2 perimeter receiver.

Q: Does a more loaded AFC make it easier or harder for Buffalo to challenge the Chiefs?- Robin Lalisse (X)

It's a double-edged sword. Because while they have to run a gauntlet of great quarterbacks, the Chiefs do, as well. So everyone is equally beating up on each other and having to go through the same path to get out of the AFC.

Q: Why do fans want to grab a receiver in the first round when it seems like the Bills are leaning more into the run game with James Cook?- Jokokingda151 (X)

Because when you have a quarterback like Josh Allen, you give him as many weapons as possible. Look at what happened against the Chiefs in the divisional round. Multiple times, Allen gave his receivers a chance, and multiple times they let him down. Eventually, if you want to win big games, you're going to need to make plays through the air.
