Every offseason the NFL uses a special formula to hand out 32 compensatory picks to teams who lost a handful of big-named free agents during the prior offseason.

This year, the Philadelphia Eagles were gifted four extra picks to make up for losing defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, guard Isaac Seumalo, offensive tackle Andre Dillard and linebacker T.J. Edwards to other teams during 2023's NFL free agency.

Round 5: Eagles compensatory pick No. 171

Round 5: Eagles compensatory pick No. 172

Round 6: Eagles compensatory pick No. 211

*This article has been updated following the report that the NFL will award the Cincinnati Bengals an extra third-round pick in this year's NFL draft — giving them the No. 97 overall pick.

The Eagles were just one of three teams to receive four compensatory picks and the loss of Hargrave was the reason why they landed that third-round pick.

These extra selections will benefit the Eagles as they look to bolster their defense in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft that kicks off on April 25.
