The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine has come and gone, and we are one step closer to the 2024 NFL Draft.
With this big milestone in the books, I published my largest mock draft of the cycle to date, a three-round 32-team mock draft with trades.
And below is the haul the Jacksonville Jaguars came away with.
Pick 17: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
The Jaguars could prioritize multiple positions here, but I went with the best player available: Toledo's CB Quinyon Mitchell. I don't think any player has had a more successful draft cycle to date than Mitchell. His impressive coverage skills, paired with how well he tested, warrant being selected this high by the Jaguars.
Pick 48: Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina
The Jaguars could be on the verge of losing WR Calvin Ridley in free agency this offseason. That makes adding a WR this offseason a priority. If they waited till day two, a WR I like for them is South Carolina's Xavier Legette. Legette was a late bloomer at South Carolina, but he has the skill and traits that are likely to attract NFL teams toward him being selected in the top two rounds.
Pick 96: Renardo Green, CB, Florida State
The Jaguars doubling up at CB may surprise you, but hear me out. Flordia State's Renardo Green is a converted safety who excels in press coverage as a CB. At the pro level, he will give teams a hybrid mold that is becoming very valuable. So year one, Green could be a solid depth piece at CB and safety.
Jacksonville Jaguars to release cornerback Darious Williams in a move to create cap space
The Jaguars are creating cap space.
