NFL Draft season is in full swing, and the Tennessee Titans are set up to steal an elite prospect at one of three positions in the 2024 NFL Draft with their first round selection. Should they take the best wide receiver on the board to help Will Levis develop? Should they go with the best offensive tackle? Perhaps take the best tight end prospect ever? There may not be one "right" answer, but here's what the last 100+ NFL mock drafts are saying they could or should do.
In case you missed it, here at A to Z Sports we scraped data from over 100 mock drafts over the last three weeks to see what we could learn. Things are already shifting drastically since the NFL Combine. What does that mean for the Tennessee Titans? We'll get to that in a moment. But first, if you want a quick snapshot of the Top 120 prospects via recent mock draft data I'll be referencing, here's a quick run down I put together in a thread on X (Twitter):
Tennessee Titans First Round Targets
Over the past few weeks and 100+ mock drafts here are the most commonly selected first round picks for the Tennessee Titans:
- Joe Alt, OT Notre Dame
- Rome Odunze, WR Washington
- Olumuyiwa, Fashanu, OT Penn State
- Malik Nabers, WR LSU
- Brock Bowers, TE Georgia
- Taliese Fuaga, OT Oregon State
Wide Receiver First Round Targets
Based on what our team of journalists learned at the NFL Combine, Brian Callahan desperately wants to add an elite wide receiver talent in this draft class. That much is obviously clear.
Rome Odunze (Washington) was the only one of the three truly elite receiver prospects to participate in the NFL Combine on-field drills. He chose to return to Washington to put the team first in hopes of winning a national title and almost carried the Huskies there. And he's been consistently rising in recent mock draft data, currently sitting right at 7th overall (where the Titans pick). Odunze would be an absolute steal if available at pick seven.
Top 10 Wide Receiver Rankings for the 2024 NFL Draft coming out of the NFL Combine are absolutely stacked
Top WRs Rising up Draft Boards
Malik Nabers (LSU) may be the best vertical threat and offensive weapon in the draft class. He posted more than four yards per team pass attempt last year, good for a 100th percentile peak production profile among all wide receivers ever drafted. He too would be an amazing get at pick seven. Recent data suggests that he is most likely off the board by pick five or six following the three quarterbacks and Marvin Harrison Jr., but he's still a potential target.
Offensive Tackle First Round Targets
Joe Alt is the best offensive tackle in the 2024 NFL Draft. Yes, he's a bit tall at 6'9", but he's an absolute force to be dealt with in both the run and pass games. Alt would be the foundational building block to build the Titans franchise around for the next decade. The only issue is that he's most likely the first offensive lineman off the board, and at least two teams ahead of the Titans may go that direction.

These Big Guys Can Move!
Olumuyiwa Fashanu measured in with some small hands at the NFL Combine, but besides that his profile is immaculate. He's actually been dropping down boards in recent weeks for some reason. Fashanu is currently sitting at 8th in the consensus mock draft data, but likely slides out of the top 10 in the next week or so. He may be considered a "reach" at the Titans pick soon.
Almost the same story with Taliese Fuaga. His measurables aren't exactly elite round one offensive tackle numbers, so his stock is just now taking a slight hit. However, his angry blocking style might make him a great culture fit for the Tennessee Titans.
Brock Bowers, TE Georgia
Titans fans may not want a tight end as their first round NFL Draft selection, but there's a great chance he's the best tight end prospect on paper in the history of the draft.
He spent three straight seasons functioning as Georgia's de facto WR1. He won back to back John Mackey awards for being the best tight end in the country. And Bowers also produced more receiving yards through the first three seasons of any college football tight end in history.

Tight End Class Shows Out!
Bowers might not "fill the area of highest need" if the Titans choose to go that direction, but he is the clear TE1 by a mile and is still ranked top 10 among recent mock draft data.
In conclusion, it seems that the Tennessee Titans have two quite likely available options on draft day as far as positions go. They select an offensive lineman, preferably Joe Alt of Notre Dame. Or they select one of two elite receiver talents in Rome Odunze or Malik Nabers. All three options would be slam dunk picks and they all keep getting selected in between picks six and ten in recent NFL mock drafts.
