The Raiders have just recently had several players change their numbers.
This often happens after cuts, as some numbers become free, so those players can now get the original number they wanted, which maybe wasn't free when they joined the team.
Rookie cornerback Jakorian Bennett will wear No. 0 now, as he was No. 29. Rookie safety Chris Smith will wear No. 29, where he was wearing No. 42. Rookie wide receiver Tre Tucker will now wear No. 14, whereas he was No. 89, or so we thought.
Tre Tucker has now changed his number again.
On Wednesday, the Raiders PR team on Twitter, or X, announced that he changed his number from 14 to 11 in just a day's time.
Tucker was No. 1 in college at Cincinnati, so 11 does make more sense because Marcus Epps is No. 1, so it wasn't available.
