The New Orleans Saints got some difficult news on Thursday. Rookie running back Kendre Miller has another injury. This one is a hamstring issue.
His status for Week 1 is now unknown.
Miller missed time earlier in the offseason with a different injury. That one was a foot issue. Not to mention, Miller was recovering from a knee injury he endured at the end of his college career during Saints minicamp.
So far, Miller hasn't seen the field as much as New Orleans would probably prefer. That being said, he needs to take his time returning from this one. Rushing himself back may just put him on a longer road back to complete health.
There's currently no timetable for his return.
Keep in mind that the Saints won't have Alvin Kamara for their first three games of the season, though. The Saints have Jamaal Williams and Kirk Merritt as the other RBs on the active roster. Tony Jones Jr. and Jordan Mims are the rushers on their practice squad now.
Keep an eye on Miller's status for Week 1.
