The Tennessee Vols could play a role in getting a couple of SEC head coaches fired in 2023.

According to Sports Illustrated, two SEC head coaches that Tennessee will face this fall will enter the 2023 season firmly on the hot seat.

SI.com listed Missouri's Eliah Drinkwitz and Texas A&M's Jimbo Fisher as their only two SEC head coaches on the hot seat.

Drinkwitz is entering his fourth season as Missouri's head coach. He's 17-19 over his first three seasons in Columbia and he's 0-3 against the Vols during that span.

Fisher, on the other hand, was hired away from Florida State with the expectation that he'd quickly deliver a national championship.

The former Nick Saban assistant, however, has gone 39-21 over five seasons with the Aggies. And he's coming off his worst season after Texas A&M went 5-7 last season. There's plenty of talent at Texas A&M. Fisher has a large buyout, but if the Aggies suffer another losing season, Texas A&M might not have a choice but to fire Fisher.

Tennessee will host Texas A&M on October 14. They'll travel to Columbia to take on Missouri on November 11.

By the way, former Vols head coach Butch Jones, now the head coach at Arkansas State, is also listed on the hot seat. Jones is 5-19 through two seasons at Arkansas State.
