Caleb Farley experienced a terrible tragedy yesterday when there was an explosion at his home that resulted in the death of his father.

Initial reports were that one person was deceased while another was injured. We later learned that Farley's father, Robert, was the deceased victim.

Farley spoke with Queen City News yesterday about his father.

"My father was a stand-up guy. He was a stand-up guy," said Farley while fighting back tears. "He raised me to be a stand-up guy."

Farley was seen outside of his family's barbershop, where he shook hands with those who wished to pay respects.

“I’ve had a pretty wild past five years, six years. I’m a fighter, though,” Farley explained. “I just lean on my faith. That’s all I can do. That’s all I got.”

Farley's mother passed away in 2018 after a battle with cancer. The Farleys are respected members of the Mooresville community, where Caleb starred as a QB for Maiden High School.

“I’m thankful my parents were well-respected in my community,” he explained. “They were very loved. God-fearing men and women. You know that it’s always a plus to have positive role models to raise me.”

Mike Vrabel vowed that the team would do everything they could to support Caleb during this time. Derrick Henry and Harold Landry III were among the other Titans to offer sympathies. The team ended practice yesterday with a prayer session for Farley.
