Las Vegas Raiders Dallas Cowboys

The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to improve to 3-0 in preseason play and 7-0 in preseason play under head coach Josh McDaniels.

Now that the Baltimore Ravens lost their last preseason game, the Raiders currently hold the streak for consecutive preseason wins with six. Sure, it's the preseason, and that really doesn't matter much; however, knowing the players and the guys who will get to play, they want to keep that streak alive.

The Raiders are playing one of the deepest teams in the league, the Dallas Cowboys. And while we know they aren't gonna bring their all in terms of starters playing the whole game, they can still win this game with their backups, just like the Raiders can. This is the last preseason game before we see every team in the NFL start at 0-0, where everyone has a chance at the Lombardi.

Here is how you can watch the game:

Will the Raiders play the starters?

As usual, Josh McDaniels doesn't really let anyone know what he is thinking or what he will do. However, we can assume, because the starters played the last game, that they won't play this game. This is their last moment to get some rest until the Raiders bye week. Look for a guy like Chase Garbers to get a ton of reps in the game against the Cowboys.

Three Raiders players to watch

  • Chase Garbers, QB – I'm going to be watching Garbers to see just what or how he has gotten better from last season when he played in the preseason. If everything looks the same, and it looks like he hasn't gotten any better, it may be time to move on.
  • Dalton Wagner, OT – The Raiders offered Wagner, an undrafted free agent from Arkansas, more guaranteed money than any UDFA. So, they like him. As things currently stand, he may not make the roster, but this is his last effort to do so.
  • Kristian Wilkerson, WR – We can all assume that Wilkerson won't make the roster because of how deep the receiver room is; however, he has played really well this preseason. Look for him to play his way onto another team.

Will we get to see more of Aidan O'Connell?

Have the Raiders seen enough? O'Connell has been amazing the last two preseason games, so just how much will he play on Saturday, if he plays at all? We all want to see him play, but the Raiders may already know who is their QB2.
