The Miami Dolphins face off with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday evening at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville. This will be the third and final preseason game for both teams. The Dolphins have a handful of starting spots still up for grabs, but a larger number of players who are fighting for the back end of roster spots, so there's a lot to watch for the full 60 minutes.

Will the starters play?
Yes. It's just a question of how long. Per Mike McDaniel this week, he indicated the starters could play at least two series, but less than a full half. A wide gap of possibilities, but still likely more than the lightning-fast two series from a week ago.
Who takes center stage?
Naturally, the starters, as they will play the most they have this preseason. Aside from two drives this preseason- one of which lasted one play – the Dolphins' starting offense hasn't seen the field since losing to Buffalo in January.
The reserves, who have seen almost all of the action of the first two games, will work to secure spots on the roster as cut down day of Tuesday, August 29 is rapidly approaching.
3 positional battles to watch:
- Left guard. Liam Eichenberg started there in Week 1. Isaiah Wynn started in Week 2 – although Eichenberg has been dealing with a minor injury. If both are available on Saturday, whoever gets the start would appear to have the leg up on the only remaining contested OL position.
- Outside CB – Eli Apple vs. Cam Smith vs. Noah Igbinoghene. Who will start on the outside opposite Xavien Howard has still not been settled. Smith had a shot to get an edge in the competition, but a shoulder injury against Atlanta cost him time on the field. Igbinoghene has a legitimate shot at winning the job, and the experienced Apple can't be discounted either. A very important position to watch on Saturday.
- Third WR – Braxton Berrios, Erik Ezukanma, Robbie Chosen, Cedric Wilson, Jr. Those are the third through six wide receivers who will likely make the roster. However, who will take the WR3 spot behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle? With the tight end room offering very little in the way of receiving, the importance of a strong WR3 is high. Berrios feels like the favorite, but this is still not decided.
