Former Tennessee Vols cornerback Alontae Taylor made what was essentially a perfect defensive play on Sunday night in the New Orleans Saints' 17-13 loss to the Houston Texans in the NFL preseason finale.

Taylor, a second round selection by the Saints in the 2022 NFL Draft, defended a perfectly placed pass from Texans rookie quarterback CJ Stroud to wide receiver Nico Collins.

A half a second earlier and that's pass interference. And a half a second later, it's a completion. You can't defend it any better than what we saw from Taylor on that play.

Entering the 2023 season, Taylor is poised to serve as the Saints' primary slot cornerback.
