After almost a two-week absence, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has returned to practice.
This is obviously a great development for the Packers, who ruled Doubs out ahead of the preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks. It was a hamstring injury, which can be finicky, so it was assumed the move was more of precautionary nature until Doubs didn't practice on Wednesday.
But now, it doesn't seem like the injury is an issue to the point where the second-year wideout has to sit out. However, as mentioned earlier, soft-tissue injuries can linger, so it remains to be seen how this all plays out in the long run. He's certainly not guaranteed to play on Sunday, but his odds are obviously much better since he's able to practice in whatever fashion he'll be listed as when Thursday's injury report comes out a little later.
Christian Watson was not seen during the beginning portion of practice after recently injuring his own hamstring. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur didn't give anything away when asked about Watson's injury on Wednesday, so we may have to let the week play out before we find out anything definitive regarding his availability for the Chicago Bears matchup.
Left tackle David Bakhtiari received another veteran rest day, as well. We'll post the Packers' full injury report for Thursday once the team releases it at 4pm ET.
