The Vikings' latest injury report will have fans rejoicing.
On Wednesday, only linebacker Troy Dye was listed on the report. On Thursday, punter Ryan Wright was a new addition, however, both Wright and Dye were full participants in Thursday's practice.
Dye's elbow injury and Wright's ankle injury do not appear to be serious and should not impact their availability this weekend.
This is excellent news considering the bad injury luck that has surrounded multiple teams this summer. In 2022, the Vikings were one of the more injured teams in the league. The 2022 team had 21 players spend time on the injured list with only the Bears suffering more injuries in the NFC North.
It certainly appears that the team is off to a good start this season. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, every player should be ready to go for the opener on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Bucs are also quite healthy, with rookie guard Cody Mauch the only player who didn't practice on Thursday. Rookie defensive lineman Calijah Kancey was a limited participant while nursing a calf injury.
We should receive the final injury reports on Friday afternoon. Let's hope for no late additions to the list.
The Week 1 matchup is set to kick off at 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday in Minneapolis.
