This means absolutely nothing because the Las Vegas Raiders' star defensive end is just that competitive; however, when you do a lot of losing, and your star player says he is sick of it, maybe you need to watch him in the future.
Maxx Crosby is one of the most competitive players in the league, so his recent comments are coming from a place of him just wanting to win and nothing else. He hasn't done it since he's been in the league, so the feeling to do it has to be eating away at him.
He just wants to win and be the best.
"For me, I just worry about the day," Crosby told the media on Thursday. "I'm worried about getting better today, and then tomorrow, when it gets here, I'm worried about that. Every single day I come in here, I think about winning. I don't do this year-round to come in and not make the playoffs. I'm sick of that shit, and I want to keep winning. I want to get back to the playoffs. I want to be in Cincinnati on the road in a hostile environment.
"That's why I play the game; that's why I work the way I work. I come here, and I have done this all year. Like I said, I want to win championships. I want to be at the top of the game. I want to be the number one guy, regardless of the position, and I work for that every single day. So yeah, I'm fired up for this organization. I love all the people in here, and I'm really just trying to be my best version of myself and lead by example."
The Raiders are 22-35 since Crosby was drafted in 2019. They have just one playoff appearance in that span too. So, I can see why Crosby would be tired. However, that isn't something to watch for right now.
Crosby isn't an unrestricted free agent until 2027, so the only way he could leave because he is upset is by way of trade, and I just don't see him or the Raiders doing that anytime soon. They have a new regime, entering the second year under McDaniels with the sa,e defensive system, and everyone seems to feel it is heading in the right direction.
But, if things don't change soon, like within the next two years or so, the Raiders should probably start watching Crosby.
Maxx Crosby disrespected by national media once again
The Las Vegas Raiders received a few selections for the Associated Press All-Pro team this week. Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams, and Daniel Carlson all got nods for league's best. Somehow, one of their best players got snubbed, though. Maxx Crosby did not get selected as one of the team's edge rushers. Crosby was one of […]
