The Las Vegas Raiders made a move just before their first preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.

According to Tashan Reed of The Athletic, the Raiders waived defensive tackle Kyle Peko just hours before their game.

Peko was on the Raiders last season and even played in the regular season. If he clears waivers, he could end up back on the Raiders practice squad.

This means, though, that rookie defensive tackle Nesta Jade-Silvera will likely get more reps in practice and the game. NJS is a guy who always brings pure energy and has even received praise from guys like Maxx Crosby on how hard he has been working.

"Hell yeah, Nesta [Jade Silvera] is a dog," Crosby told reporters on Thursday. "He's getting after it; I love it. Since the first day he came in, he had the attitude; you could just tell he was hungry. And he's just getting better and better. When you're a young guy — I told literally all the rookies when they came in — technique is one thing, but you can't coach effort, you can't coach attitude, you can't coach the little things, the little things you see on film: the flying to the ball, the heart, all those little things. And Nesta's one of those guys; you can see it clear as day."

Now we will get to see it a bit more.
