The Seattle Seahawks loudly put together one of the best draft classes of 2023 by spending their early capital on some of the best players in the class. 

Corner Devon Witherspoon was loved by almost every respectable analyst out there, and many believed that pick on its own could help shift the Seahawks defense back in the right direction.

There is a lot of obvious hype surrounding Witherspoon and his rookie season, especially after what we saw from Sauce Gardner last year, and that reflects in the most recent odds for Defensive Rookie of the Year amongst corners.

Nine cornerbacks have won NFL Defensive Rookie Year since its inception, including Sauce last year.

Witherspoon is currently tied for the best odds at the position, and that makes plenty of sense based on draft position. The competition should be steep, especially amongst the top three guys, but Witherspoon has the perfect bend of talent and opportunity on the Seahawks defense to easily top this list.

There may be a slight drop to the Witherspoon hype in the overall DROY rankings due to an early injury, but once that is cleared up (hopefully before the start of the regular season), the rookie should quickly move into a starting role and start dominating the competition in the NFL.

It might take a bit of time, but once this hype train starts rolling, it's going to be very hard to slow it down.
