About a month before the 2023 NFL Draft, former NFL front office executive/scout Louis Riddick tweeted that he believes Tennessee Vols offensive tackle Darnell Wright will reach the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

Wright was selected by the Chicago Bears with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Wright has been as advertised during training camp, impressing with his conditioning, eagerness to learn, toughness, and athleticism.

The former Vol also played extremely well in first his first NFL preseason game.

As a result of Wright's strong play, Riddick doubled down on his "Darnell Wright will be a Pro Bowler as a rookie" take while reminding folks of his prediction earlier this spring.

Wright still has a long way to go and a lot to prove as an NFL player. But so far, he's been everything the Bears were hoping he would be. And if he continues to play at this level (while continuing to improve), then there's a great chance that Riddick's Pro Bowl prediction ends up being correct.
