Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a non-contact calf injury near the end of practice on Thursday.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, who spoke to reporters after practice, didn't expand on the severity of the injury beyond confirming that the injury is to Burrow's calf.

This is obviously an unnerving situation for Bengals fans. If Burrow is going to be sidelined — and we don't know at this point how long he'll be out or if he'll miss any time — then Cincinnati's season is obviously in trouble.

Fortunately for Bengals fans, wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase offered some positive comments about Burrow after practice.

Chase said Burrow gave him a nod as if to say that he was good. The superstar wide receiver also said he isn't worried and he believes Burrow is alright.

Offensive lineman Ted Karras said his gut feeling is that Burrow will be fine.

I'm sure Burrow will go through the full gauntlet of tests and I'm also sure that Cincy fans will be concerned until official word on Burrow's status is revealed. But it has to at least be comforting that Burrow's teammates don't seem too concerned.
