Friday is a big day for the Detroit Lions. It's the first day of training camp where the pads are on. This where you separate the men from the boys and all those other sayings that are equivalent to separating the men from the boys.

Not everyone will be out there for the Lions though. There's some guys that will be missing the first day of pads due to injuries. Here's the scoop on who will be missing out and who's back.

  • Jameson Williams is still out with a leg injury
  • C.J. Gardner-Johnson is still day to day
  • Halapoulivaati Vaitai will return Friday
  • Brian Branch will return Friday
  • Emmanuel Moseley will be back Monday

All injuries appear to be minor at this time. Vaitai took a shot in the back on Wednesday and sat out the rest of practice and Brian Branch hurt his foot. Both were precautionary and both will be back at it Friday.

Dan Campbell did say that Emmaneul Moseley will report to camp on Monday, but did not say whether or not he will take part in practices once he' shows up. Moseley has been privately rehabbing from a torn ACL he suffered during the 2022 season.

Jameson Williams and C.J. Garnder-Johnson are still day to day, but are improving per Dan Campbell. We'll have more news and information on Lions injuries as the info comes in. For now, this team is doing it's best to stay healthy.
