The Cincinnati Bengals brought some levity to a tough situation on Friday morning via their Twitter account.

On Thursday, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a calf injury near the end of practice which sent Cincy fans into a panic.

Fortunately for Burrow and the Bengals, it sounds like the injury isn't serious, though it's certainly a problem.

The diagnosis of a calf strain was considered the best case scenario for Burrow.

On Friday morning, the Bengals' official Twitter account tried to lighten the mood by sending a funny message to fans.

"Everyone, please stop calling and offering us your calf muscles… it doesn't work like that! Joey will be back," read the tweet from Cincinnati's Twitter account.

The good news is that the regular season shouldn't be in doubt for Burrow. But the injury is still unfortunate because Burrow was set to go through a "normal" training camp for the first time in his NFL career.

However, that won't be the case this summer. Burrow is certain to be sidelined for a bit as the Bengals exercise caution with their franchise quarterback.
