The New Orleans Saints continue to get deals done. The latest contract is an extension to a player that certainly deserves it. The Saints just announced that they've agreed to terms with long snapper Zach Wood on a four-year extension.

Wood has spent the last six seasons with New Orleans as one of the best players at his position. Accordingly, he got 2.3 million guaranteed in his new deal, according to Nick Underhill. Wood is now signed through 2027 for the Saints.

The deal is one of the best in NFL history for a long snapper. Only two active long snappers in the NFL currently have more in guaranteed (at sign) money on their deals, the Jets' Thomas Hennessy and the Patriots' Joe Cardona. Wood, 27, is the youngest of those three.

The Saints get another important offseason task done before the season begins.
