Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Chiefs and Chris Jones are "far apart" on a new deal. Jones is seeking an extension likely above $24 million a year. However, he could start losing money soon.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, Chris Jones could get a mandatory fine of nearly $50,000 for each day of camp he misses.
Sure, the bigger picture is much, much more money than what he will lose, but for right now, that's a lot of money to lose.
