The New Orleans Saints were busy on Monday looking to add depth to their roster by hosting former Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner and edge rusher Kyle Phillips for visits.

As important as that is, nothing can beat the news that dropped on wide receiver Michael Thomas. He's expected to be a full participant when the Saints hold their first training camp practice on Wednesday.

Thomas has only played in 10 games since the 2019 season (missed all of 2021) due to ankle and foot injuries. Normally, that type of unreliability wouldn't last that long on most rosters.

In the case of Thomas, he's so dynamic that the possibilities of what he can do when healthy is what has caused the Saints to be extremely patient. So much so that they reworked his deal back in March.

Before the injury woes, Thomas put together a string of four consecutive seasons over 1,000 yards to start his career. He had three straight years of over 100 catches during that span also which included leading the NFL in receptions twice (set the league record with 149 in 2019).

New Orleans isn't lacking offensive talent. However, if they can get Thomas to perform anywhere near what he was, it can be one of the better units in the league.
