Carolina Panthers punter Johnny Hekker arrived at training camp in Spartanburg on Tuesday morning with easily the best outfit of anyone on the roster.
It wasn't flashy, but it was perfect.
Hekker reported to camp wearing an old Frank Reich Panthers jersey.
Reich, of course, played for the Panthers in 1995, the franchise's first season in the NFL.
No one knows what this Panthers season will hold with a new head coach, a rookie quarterback with sky-high expectations, and loads of new faces on the offensive side of the ball, but one thing is certain — the vibes are off the charts as Carolina starts training camp.
And good vibes can be half the battle to putting a playoff team on the field.
There will be ups-and-downs, questionable decisions, and disappointments — those are things that no team can fully escape — but the Panthers already appear to be in a much better place than they ever were under previous head coach Matt Rhule.
