Every year the NFL gets players together to vote on who they believe are the NFL's top 100 players. They've been doing this list since 2011. There's Bear's players on it every year. There has never been a Bears quarterback on the list though. Until Tuesday.
Justin Fields was electric in 2022. Especially when it comes to using his feet. He ran for 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns. He was a weekly highlight with that part of his game. So much so that the NFL decided he deserved the 86th spot on this list.
Fields still has a lot of work to do with his game. While he's an electric scrambler, he has still yet to show that he can actually pass in the NFL with success. Fields finished with just 2,242 yards and 17 touchdowns last season. He also needs to work on his ball security. Fields turned the ball over 19 times last year. His 16 fumbles were the most by any player in the NFL. Luckily only eight of them were recovered by the tother team.
If Fields can go out and show improvement in those areas while also showing what he can do with his feet, there's no doubt that he will return to this list next summer. He'll probably shoot farther up it too.
