Brandon Aiyuk has designs on taking his play to another level in 2023.

And he has had little problem elevating above defenders during what has been another stellar training camp for the wide receiver.

Defenders have endured an extremely difficult time trying to guard him and, even when they have prevented him from gaining separation, it has not been enough to stop him from making highlight reel plays.

Deommodore Lenoir was the unfortunate cornerback who received no reward for tight coverage on Aiyuk during Friday's practice.

Aided by a well-placed throw from Brock Purdy, Aiyuk — despite having Lenoir draped all over him — leapt above the corner to high-point the ball in stunning fashion and hold on to it all the way to the ground.

It was the pick of one of five receptions for Aiyuk, who has shown every sign of being ready to build on his first 1,000-yard campaign last season.

Compiling significantly better numbers may be tough to for Aiyuk to achieve given the sheer number of mouths to feed in the 49er offense. Even as San Francisco's starting X receiver, it can be argued that George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel enjoy a greater prominence in the passing game when they are all healthy.

But between his route-running ability, the strength at the catch point that he displayed on Friday and his success in creating yards after the catch, Aiyuk has every tool at his disposal to solidify his place among the elite at wide receiver.
