The Buffalo Bills received some good news on Sunday morning.

Multiple sources report that the Bills have activated defensive tackle Jordan Phillips off the Physically Unable to Perform list prior to practice.

This comes right in time for the Bills first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.

ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg further reported that Phillips had offseason surgery on his shoulder, which is why he did not take part in the beginning of camp.

Phillips re-signed with the Bills on a one-year, $3 million deal in March after finishing last season with 20 total tackles and 1.5 sacks across 12 games.

He began his career with the Miami Dolphins, being drafted in the second round (52nd overall pick) in the 2015 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons in the heat, before traveling north to Buffalo for two seasons. In 2020 he signed with the Arizona Cardinals and remained for two years before rejoining the Bills.

Across his eight year career, Phillips has 166 tackles, 21.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one interception across 106 games played.

He is certain to make the defense much better and was activated at the perfect time.
