We've heard this song and dance before, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are early favorites to win the Super Bowl. In fact, it's happened on more than one occasion over the past few seasons.
Somehow, someway, this season feels different. Much like in the past, during the drought years, the Bills Mafia are always claiming "this year is our year" but this season might be just that, or it's just us buying into the hype once again only to have our hearts ripped out. Insert joke about 13 seconds or 4 Super Bowl losses here.
Appearing on Good Morning Football, Editor of FTN Football Almanac Aaron Shatz joined the show to discuss who he thinks will win the Super Bowl this year. Spoiler alert: It's the Buffalo Bills.
When asked who his pick would be this season, Shatz was excited, calling out Buffalo legend Chris Berman.
"The Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers. I am still on the Buffalo bandwagon. One of the top teams in the league."
Shatz continued, gushing over the Bills franchise quarterback Josh Allen. "Josh Allen, he's going to do it one of these years."
Continuing on, and perhaps giving Sean McDermott a reason to sweat as he will be taking over the play calling for the defense. Shatz praised the Buffalo defense that has been so dominant over the past few seasons, a trend that he believes will continue.
"Number one projected defense in the league. I know their schedule is tough but we have Kansas City taking a step back on defense, I like Buffalo."
Allen opened up on how badly he wants to bring the championship to Buffalo, going as far as to talk about the legendary parade. Stefon Diggs, despite his antics, is the ultimate competitor who wants nothing more than to win it all, and Von Miller working his way back has been vocal about helping the team win a ring.
Go out there, silence the critics, and in the wise words of Kyle Brandt: "Only one thing left to do, win the whole fu**ing thing."
Bills: Josh Allen pumps up the Bills Mafia with Super Bowl message
The Buffalo Bills struck gold when they decided to draft Josh Allen. Now, the franchise quarterback is opening up on his one goal in life.
