Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (5) works through drills during the first day of training camp practice Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Grand Park Sports Complex in Westfield, Indiana.

The Indianapolis Colts are dominating the NFL news cycle thanks to the ongoing Jonathan Taylor drama and they added another log on the fire Monday.

The team announced early in the morning that rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson had a procedure to correct his nasal septum on Sunday. He will miss Monday's practice, but he's expected to return to the practice field on Tuesday.

Richardson was recently given reps with the 1s and Monday is the first time the Colts put pads on, so an immediate return -even without the previous context- is obviously the most ideal scenario. Right now, it's currently unclear what prompted the procedure.

All eyes will be on Richardson's potential return when camp starts off on Tuesday.
