The New Orleans Saints are quite excited about their running back room for this season. Regardless of an Alvin Kamara suspension, they added to talented runners in Jamal Williams and Kendre Miller. Williams led the league in touchdowns last season, and Miller is an explosive, physically gifted rookie. Both will play important roles for the Saints no matter what.
After practice on Wednesday, Miller discussed the important of having Kamara around to learn from and watch create magic on the football field. In particular, Miller points out Kamara's route running ability.
"Alvin's routes… are phenomenal to watch. I'll go up to him and ask him,, or he'll come to me and be like 'on this route, just do this and just watch this'." — Miller on Kamara
It's a great sign to be the positivity from Miller regarding Kamara. The star RB has taken the rookie under his wing so far in camp, and that will surely continue going forward. Kamara is a confident player, so he is willing to help a young player along if it will help the team win.
Miller's success this season and beyond will definitely help the Saints do that. It will be very intriguing to watch how the trio of RBs are deployed across the entirety of a season by OC Pete Carmichael Jr. this year.
