The Minnesota Vikings recently made another addition to the wide receiver room. 

Former first-round pick N'Keal Harry was recently brought in to compete in Minnesota. The former top pick spent the 2022 season with the Chicago Bears after being traded by the New England Patriots. 

While Harry is far from a lock to make the team, it is interesting to see the number that the wide receiver is choosing to wear in Minnesota.

Per reports, Harry will wear No. 28 for the Minnesota Vikings. Of course this is notable due to it being the number worn by all-time franchise rushing leader Adrian Peterson.

If Harry makes the team, he will be the first Viking to don the No. 28 jersey since Peterson in 2016. 

The wide receiver room in Minnesota suddenly appears crowded. Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and KJ Osborn are locked in as the starters. Behind that trio, Brandon Powell, Jalen Nailor, Jalen Reagor, and even Blake Proehl have impressed in camp. 

Harry's status as a former first-round pick makes him an interesting flier for the Vikings. Harry only started 18 games over three seasons in New England, ending with 64 catches for 714 yards from 2019-2021. Interestingly, the Vikings also roster Jalen Reagor, who is another first-round receiver who hasn't panned out.

For those wondering, the Vikings have not yet retired No. 84 (Randy Moss) either. It is likely that 28 and 84 will both be retired eventually. If Harry doesn't make the final roster, I doubt anyone else will wear No. 28.
