The Kansas City Chiefs have a special tradition their fans follow, in which they have a new team flag every year. This year, instead of dropping the flag on "Red Friday" like they usually do, it will be happening on Wednesday.

According to the team's website, the club has announced that the traditional Red Friday celebration to start the football season will become Red Wednesday and will take place on Wednesday, September 6, the day before the first game of the year against the Detroit Lions.

Over the past nine years, the sale of Red Friday flags has raised more than $4.5 million

This is just one of the many things that not only make the Chiefs one of the best organizations in the league but have one of the best fanbases.
