Every single off-season. It's the same story for the New Orleans Saints.

How will they escape the salary cap hole that they have dug themselves?

Annually, they do exactly that and find a way to add impact talent to stay competitive. This year is no different.

After entering the off-season as the team farthest over the cap, they now sit in the top ten in terms of cap space across the NFL.

Even after losing a few pieces on defense, the Saints did not waver.

Over the past couple of weeks, they have added some solid depth. They are handing out guarantees consistently, and that may surprise folks.

The Saints aren't simply signing players to cheap, one-year deals. New Orleans is making commitments, and I am sure that these players appreciate that when fielding offers from multiple teams.

The Saints have maneuvered that cap in an intriguing, but useful, way once again.

Much of the credit goes to Mickey Loomis and Khai Harley, and they deserve it. The entire front office and coaching staff does, too.

They have done a great job at recruiting talent that many thought would get heftier congrats elsewhere like Jamaal Williams or Khan Saunders.

More moves are sure to be on the way as well for the Saints. Don't tell that to Nick Wright, though.
