Vikings GM talks Kirk Cousins being good enough to win
The Minnesota Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah talked about Kirk Cousins at the NFL Combine and he kept it real.
As long as Kirk Cousins will be the quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, there will be hate toward him. People think that he just isn't good, which isn't true. Cousins is actually one of the guys that you can put in the top half of the league.
Now, could he be better at times? Sure. Could he come through during primetime games more often? Yes, most definitely. But almost any quarterback not named Patrick Mahomes has things that they can work on to be better.
Cousins is the quarterback and will be for as long as he and the Vikings would like. So, the hate may as well stop.
Right now it's all about winning, and Cousins did that last season. Sure, the playoff game didn't go as expected at all, but they made strides from last season to this past one. There were huge improvements.
And the sole issue they lost that playoff game was not because of Cousins. Sure he could have played better, but so could everybody.
The fact of the matter is, Kirk Cousins is good enough to win football games, and I'm not the only one who thinks that either.
“Kirk Cousins meets the threshold of a good quarterback and is good enough to win,” Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, the Vikings general manager said.
KAM is right too. When you think of the best quarterbacks in the league, Cousins isn't a guy that will ever be top-five. But, he is in that top 10 to 15 range, and that isn't bad, especially when you look at all of the talent in the league.
Cousins was the reason some of the games were won the way they were last season, and I think we need to start putting some respect on his name.
I mean, KAM is just keeping it real when it comes to Kirk Cousins.
